Socialization of Keeping Clean at Dukuh Atas TOD Intensified

The Jakarta Environment Agency (LH) intensifies socialization about maintaining cleanliness in order to increase the awareness of residents who visit the Dukuh Atas Transit Oriented Development (TOD) area, Central Jakarta.

Based on beritajakarta.id observations, dozens of teenage children are seen walking around picking up trash, moreover the area is being enlivened by the performance of art attractions.

Jakarta LH Agency for Public Relations Yogi Ikhwan stated since the crowds in the Dukuh Atas TOD area, the agency had held outreach to visitors not to litter.

"We conduct operations for visitors to educate them not to litter," he expressed, Sunday (7/30).

According to him, those who were caught littering were not penalized but just swept the streets.

"Alhamdulillah, during three days of socialization, the street trash transported decreased from 14 to seven and we only transported a quarter of a cubic meter of trash. Socialization is effective in reminding visitors not to litter," he explained.

He also collaborated with several communities to maximize the socialization.

One of the visitors from Bytse community Naomi hoped that visitors could be more aware of protecting the environment by not littering.
